Sermon: March 31, 2024

Reading: Mark 16: 1-8

Alleluia, Christ is risen! It always feels fantastic to say those words on Easter morning! For us Easter is a day of celebration because through the actions of Jesus Christ, heaven and earth are joined, and we arereconciled to God! The obstacle of sin and death, like a huge stone boulder that blocks our way to God, is removed. Something we could have never done on our own. It could only be accomplished through Christ, and it was done purely out of the love God has for humanity and God’s desire to be in a relationship with us. How fantastic is that! How incredible! Heaven and earth are joined together, and we are reconciled to God. That is certainly reason to celebrate proclaiming our risen Lord with shouts of alleluia!
